Magdalena Waldauf
was born in 2002 in Schwaz in Tirol, Austria and is currently living and studying in Nuremberg, Germany. Magdalena received her first violin lessons at the age of four with Po Ching Ho at the Städtische Musikschule (municipal music school) in Innsbruck. As of 2009 she studied both baroque violin, as well modern violin with Ursula Wykypiel at the music school in Hall in Tirol.

Some of her musical career highlights yet include orchestral and solo projects, which have already taken her to Rome, Assisi, Florence, Siena, Venice, Bolzano, Merano and Vienna. In addition, participations in concert projects with Lars Ulrik Mortensen, Daniel Sepec and Howard Arman, as part of the Innsbruck Festival of Early Music can already be looked back on. Master classes with international professors such as Michi Gaigg, Tanja Becker-Bender and Christian Ostertag have been formative for her, as well.
Numerous 1st prizes at the austrian music competition Prima la Musica at federal-state and also national levels reaffirm her artistic path so far. In both 2017, as well as 2018, she received special prizes in the national finals with the ensembles "Waldauf Sisters" and “Waldauf³”, resulting in a concert invitation to Bratislava and a concert project with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra.
Since her childhood Magdalena has also been very passionate about traditional alpine folk music. Together with her sister, her cousin and her parents, she makes music in their family ensembles Waldauf and Waldauf³.
